My first reaction was to hit the delete key. After all, the last thing I need at this time is to clog up an abandoned email address with yet another unresponsive safelist.

If you are not familiar with safelists, they are an email marketing strategy. As a member, you can send emails to the other safelist members in return you agree to receive emails from them.
